A Saudi national released from U.S. detention at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in September 2007 is believed to be a key leader in al Qaeda's operations in Yemen, according to a U.S. counterterrorism official.Awesome. And there's more where that came from!-- CNN.com
President Barack Obama began overhauling U.S. treatment of terror suspects Thursday, signing orders to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center...Then there is this little problem.
And so it begins...Ordering the closure of the prison at Guantanamo Bay was the easy bit.
Working out what to do with the 245 or so inmates who are still there will be much harder.
UPDATE: First the Guantanamo thing, now this. Excellent way to start, 44.
