Site Updates Coming

Well I'm home. For good. Kelly and I made the trek from West Lafayette, IN to Sinking Spring, PA over two days 10 days ago now. We left on Friday, June 19th and arrived here Saturday evening. We've unpacked (for the most part) and Kelly has returned to her family for the final week before the wedding. Yes, that is THIS SATURDAY. Holy crap.

Anyway, with me being home now I've had a chance to go through all of my Star Wars stuff. I have a bunch of pictures to add that have been missing, indicated by the ambiguous "coming soon" image. Fear not! All those will be gone soon. With the help of my best man Brent B. I was able to go through all my extra stuff and things I'm willing to part with to come up with a "for sale" list. I'll be posting that sometime this week as well.

So check back often these next two days as I add images to the site and list things I have for sale.

Another Round of Site Updates

My collection pages have been getting a steady flow of updates this month and the trend shall continue. Today was a big one as I recently was able to track down a fair amount of basic figures from The Saga Collection as well as one each from the Star Wars Saga line and the 30th Anniversary Collection. I also went through the recent Hasbro documents published on The Legacy Collection and The Clone Wars lines and created pages for them here. My TLC and TCW pages list what I will be attempting to track down this summer and fall. I'll be doing rounds Saturday morning and may be able to publish some photos of my haul later that day. I'm hoping to nab an AT-TE and Millennium Falcon at least!

Besides pictures of my Saturday morning loot, expect more pictures of recently acquired items in early August. I'll be back in the Reading, PA area from July 30th until August 4th. I expect to update the site with many more pictures on the 5th. Be on the look out!

Updates! Get your updates!

Phew, I have been busy! I finally got around to updating more pages of my collection. Pages updated today include Power of the Force 2, Star Wars Saga, Revenge of the Sith, The Saga Collection, and the 30th Anniversary Collection. My recent trip to Walt Disney World in which I bought a lot of Disney/Star Wars merchandise has forced me to create a new Disney page (separate from the Star Tours page). Speaking of Star Tours...

Updates Progressing Slowly

Unfortunately the updating is moving at a snail's pace. I just haven't found the time to do it all. I have to rename all the pictures I have taken so I know which to upload. I took well over 250 pictures so this is going to take a while. I figure I am about half way through. Brent's collection page has been updated with his Q&A. His picture page has a link to pictures on Picasa but, as you'll notice, the album is empty. I will be uploading his pictures before 5pm today. I hope to have my collection organized with pictures by Friday at noon. We shall see. Stay tuned for the latest.

My Star Wars Collection Updates

I have added two new pages today: Wanted and For Sale. Like many of the other pages they are not complete. I think the titles are pretty self-explanatory but the Wanted page will list items I am actively searching for to add to my collection. If anyone has the item(s) or know where I can get it for a reasonable price, leave me a comment or send me an email (JMays1454@gmail.com). The For Sale page includes items that I want to sell because either (a) I have extras or (b) I no longer need it for my collection. To fulfill (b) the item is most likely a non-trooper item. The pages are currently empty but, like the rest of the pages, will be chock full of pictures and updates on April 29th and 30th. Just over three weeks until I am back with my collection!

Odds and Ends

I have been diligently working to bring the outline of my Star Wars collection up to date. All of the pages have been created but not all are yet published. The most important pages (overview, figure collections) are up and running. I have listed items that I own our would like to own eventually. When I return to Sinking Spring in April (25-28) I am going to attempt to photograph every individual item in my collection and place them online. Items I do not currently have in my collection will have a universal "missing from collection" image. I hope to have all the pictures taken on the 25th and 26th and possibly uploaded here by the 29th. Stay tuned for that.

I also have created a link for the Walt Disney World section. There isn't much there right now except links to pictures from my trip there in 2004 and 2006. Eventually I would like to post an exposition on Star Tours. I will be in Disney World
from May 11th-17th this year (unfortunately a month too soon for Star Wars Weekends).

Under Construction

I have been spending most of my time outlining, creating, and editing my Star Wars collection pages. The background story page is now active so if you're interested in why I collect Star Wars figures, what I like to collect, and how I do it, click on 'In Depth Overview' under the 'My Star Wars Collection' located on the lower right. Or click here. Either way. Some of the collection lines have pages already but they simply outline what I want to have from each line. I will hopefully be uploading pictures of what I currently have soon!

Hello readers. This site will serve as a means for me to talk/vent/archive my life. This blog will most likely not be updated daily (once I have updated it accordingly). I will spend most of my time discussing my growing Star Wars collection, Star Wars in general, Ghostbusters, and any life events I feel like writing about.
